Control your emotions such as anger, anxiety or melancholy

 

<How to Control Your Emotions>

  • Knowing one's emotions -self-awareness-
  • Managing emotions -soothe yourself-
  • Motivating oneself -emotional self-control (ie. delaying gratification)-
  • Recognizing emotions in others -empathy-
  • Handling relationships

 

<Anger >

  • See things differently (reframing a situation more positively)
  • Challenge the thoughts that trigger the surge of anger
  • Cool down (through appropriate distractions)

 

<Anxiety>

  • Be aware of the first cause triggering the worrisome cycle
  • Combination of mindfulness and healthy skepticism

 

<Melancholy>

  • Distractions, Cheering themselves up
  • See things differently (Reframing)
